Welcome!
The Sunday morning service at Taupo Baptist is from 10am and is for all ages. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the worship. If you have children, of course they are welcome too. People often worry that the children will make noise and be disruptive but don’t worry, we all can make lots of noise and be disruptive at times too! Just come along and join in. Your child might have questions or may need some help with worship, please feel supported in your ministry to your children, we want to help you raise your child within a strong, supportive, faith-filled community.
It can seem a little daunting to go to a church service if you haven’t been to a particular church before. The most important thing to remember when you come to Taupo Baptist is to relax and not worry about what we do, just make yourself at home.
We have a children’s programme during the sermon part of the main service. The programme consists of a short message, reflection and prayer, followed by activities and toys for the children to play with. You are welcome to join us too if you’d like. All ages of children are welcome for this programme (including babies, preschoolers, kindy kids, children with special needs and school-aged children).
During the school holidays the children’s programme will continue as normal, however please be encouraged to keep your children in the service, they are very welcome. There are some occasions that the children will stay in the main service, for example— baptisms, communion and testimonies.
Children and Young Family Ministry Vision:
To help parents raise their children within a strong, supportive, faith-filled community.
We do this by focusing on...
1. Excellence in Children’s Ministry & Mission: Children are precious to God and need the best we can give them
2. Church & Home Partnership: The church acknowledges the home as the primary place of spiritual nurture
3. Intergenerational Community: The church intentionally facilitates ways for intergenerational spiritual formation and relationships to occur
4. Integrated strategy for Faith Formation: The church is a place where all ministries work with the same end in mind

Parenting for Faith Resources
Here are some resources you could use as part of your family devotions each week. You will find a page with ideas for parents that will help with bringing faith conversations into the everyday humdrum of life. You will also find a devotional suited to primary-aged children and one for older children.
