CAP NZ Mission Statement: "We are passionate about releasing New Zealanders from a life sentence of debt, poverty and its causes. Working with the church, we bring good news, hope and freedom. We are Christians Against Poverty."

CAP DEBT CENTRE- Sometimes, we find ourselves in financial difficulties we never thought we would end up in. Through changing circumstances or poor choices, this can happen to anyone. If you find yourself in debt and can't find your way out, call the church office 073789275. We will put you in touch with a Debt Coach who will lead you through getting out of debt and taking back your financial freedom. Want to know more? Go to the CAP Debt Centre Website.

CAP Money Courses- These courses run periodically throughout the year; contact Clint for upcoming dates!

NEW - CAP Release Groups-  Release Groups are a confidential, caring group that helps people find complete freedom from life-controlling habits. Are you struggling to kick a habit that just seems to control your life? Is your life negatively impacted by a dependence on anything from smoking to shopping, alcohol to anger – even the Internet?

CAP Release Groups are a confidential and safe community that will help you break free from   life-controlling habits. For more info, click here or call the church office at 073789275.

Operation Christmas Child- As a bridge to the wider community, Taupo Baptist acts as a collection point for shoeboxes in October. More than 10 million shoeboxes went out to children around the world in 2018!

Over 400 boxes were collected through TBC in 2018, 2019 and 2020

Joy Ministries

This is a quarterly service held on a Sunday afternoon that caters specially for those with disabilities while  all are welcome  to come. Each service includes some music, a craft time, some teaching and ends with afteroon tea. They are great fun.

Since 2011 Joy Ministries have had some attending a camp in Matamata run by Christian Ministry for the Disabled over Labour Weekend.

We celebrated, in November of 2018, 10 years of Joy Ministry at Taupo Baptist, with friends joining from Havelock North, as well as our surprise guest from the South, Keith Harrington, the former Pastor of Taupo Baptist when Joy Ministry was established here.
