Doug Gartner
Doug was born in Pokaka into a family of 9.
Doug has a love of music which probably comes from his mother who was a talented pianist. He is currently part of the churches amazing music team. He is married to Jacky.
He lived a life without knowing Christ until age 37 when both he and Jacky gave their hearts to the Lord. That was when Doug stopped gambling on horse racing, and started a new life with Christ at the Baptist Church in Rotorua.
Doug enjoys seeing young kids and youth journey through life while at Church, and the loving families that care for them and teach them Christian values.
He also enjoys meeting people who are new to the church. Doug is an Accountant by profession.
For the last 8-10 years he managed large tracts of land near the Kaimanawa’s, which he ceased doing late last year, and in April this year,
started a new business.

Dale Boddy
I was born and grew up in the Hutt Valley, the eldest of three girls. It was a good place to grow up as the camaraderie after the war was great and we all knew our neighbours well. I was brought up in the Presbyterian Church but after moving to Taupo in 1982 I decided that I enjoyed the family- friendly atmosphere of the Baptist Church. I have also always embraced the doctrine of baptism by immersion and was actually baptised in the Presbyterian Church by the minister
I think we have a tremendous 'church' with so many people really getting in and making things happen. I love being a part of our church and want to help make it grow even more in our vision of not only reaching out to our community but also making everyone feel a part of our family here.
