Why Give?

The Bible teaches that everything we have comes from God and we should be open to using it as He directs (Deuteronomy 10:14).

• When we give, it is way of acknowledging God’s ownership and so becomes an act of worship
• We are encouraged to support those in our church in positions of responsibility (1 Timothy 5:17).
• It takes money to provide the building, staff and programmes that the church is providing to spiritually nurture you.
• It takes money to extend the kingdom of God, both locally and overseas.

We are encouraged to remember the poor (Proverbs 14:31). Some of your giving to the church helps the poor overseas, as well as ministry to those in prison and hospital locally.

How to give

• By placing cash in the box attached to the Sound Desk at the back of the church.
• By using EFTPOS This is available at the Help Desk.
• By placing a numbered offering envelope in the box at the back of the church and attached to the Sound Desk. To get a number, please ask at the Help Desk. Once you have been allocated a number, more envelopes are available from the help desk
• By using automatic payment Forms are available at the Help Desk
• By including the church in your Will

How to get a tax rebate
The church issues receipts for your giving (if you have a number). This receipt can then be included in your tax return.

One verse in every six in the first three Gospels relates either directly or indirectly to money.

Call at the Help Desk or email—[email protected] for the number. Individuals can now claim a 33.3% rebate on all giving to the church (and other suitably recognised charitable organisations) up to a maximum claim equal to their total taxable income for that year.
Companies will be entitled to a full deduction for donations made to donee organisations, limited only by the amount of the company’s net income for that year.

We encourage you to get a tax rebate so you can then reinvest the money in the work of God’s kingdom.

Financial Integrity
Budgets are passed by the church members at our AGM. At the end of the year, provisional accounts are made available. Professionally and independently renewed accounts are made available on request
